DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

After graduation at Prague Film Academy (FAMU) I came straight away to the advertising business. I started with low budget music videos, and slowly moved to higher level advertising, both on Czech and international market. I have shot all around the world with many international crews and directors.

I focus mainly on getting on the same page with a director and help him achieve his idea. Lighting, composition, camera move – most important tools I use to get the idea right.

While making commercials, in the past few years, I also worked on feature projects as a 2nd unit DoP and occasionally as A Camera Operator. DoP's work is constant learning, and these experiences have helped me to deepen my knowledge.

My recent feature projects are Amazon's TV-Series Carnival Row and Knightfall for History Channel.
